release details + version 1.0.0 update details


Alright, so I’m getting pretty close to release! Just a few more bugs to squash and a bit more content to add. Here's a breakdown of:

  • What’s been added since the last update
  • What’s still to come
  • What I’m shelving for now
  • Plus a few release details at the end

Still to be added before release:

  • More bossfights!

What’s been added since last time:

  • Stat table in the pause menu
  • New class unlocked after beating the game: the Stormtrooper (yes, the Star Wars kind, not the real ones)
  • Robin Hood is now also unlocked after beating the game (Both Stormtrooper and Robin Hood are playable in “Front” mode before beating the game)
  • Upgrade shop added to the lobby Upgrade your speed, health, and grab extra ammo
  • Rations – the new in-game currency used in the upgrade shop
  • New boss fight: it’s literally Hitler (but don’t worry, he’s just a regular soldier — because y’know, it’s WW1)

What I’m saving for post-release:

  • Character customization It’s a huge task just getting it to sort of work. If the game does well (or if I just feel like doing it), I’ll add it later. No promises though.

What won’t be added (for now):

  • Inventory system It’s too complicated and I honestly don’t know what I’d even put in it.

Release Details:

As the game gets closer to release, here’s what to expect:

  • Price: $5 (likely in USD, unless itch.io says otherwise)
  • Browser demo: Confirmed
  • Downloadable demo: Maybe
  • If the game makes $110+ USD in gross revenue, I’ll probably put it on Steam — assuming it’s getting decent attention. (At $5 a copy, that’s just 22 purchases, so it's not that wild of a goal!)
